Welcome to the RGR web site
Thanks for visiting our web site. Whether you're a friend , family member, new follower of our race
team or a potential sponsor  we're glad you decided to check us out. The main reason we decided
to create this site is to share the experiences and achievements that we will have over the  years
.
The original base of this site was to promote our Off-Road team that we had formed in 2007 to run
the Baja 1000. Since then we have run and finished the storied race and it is an accomplishment
we will always be very proud of.
Now in 2010 we have other projects we are involved in. Scott is the Co-Crew chief of Pat Dakins
Top Fuel Dragster based out of Dayton, Ohio and Wyatt recently Won the Bug-In 34 VW Drag event
in Fontana, Ca. So it seems both of us are staying busy.
There is talk of a couple of different projects we may try to take on in the future and we will keep
the site updated if and when they start to materialize.
Until then We once again want to thank all of the Sponsors who made it possible to reach our goal
of finishing the Baja 1000!. The 1648 car has been sold to another team and they will continue to
race it, so good luck the Hayes Racing.

Aug. 11, 2007 Johnson Valley, CA MDR Night Race
The day had finally arrived, The Team RGR 1 2 1600 Race car hit the dirt and made it’s own dust.
The team had decided earlier in the month to test at Johnson Valley where most of the MORE and
MDR races  take place. It was going to be a low key test to just get a few miles on the car and make
sure that everything ran and shifted right. The car was still sans logos and numbers- strictly in test
mode. But then it was learned that there was an MDR night race on the schedule. Now what? Wait,
this may be even better. We can go out there and pre-run with the racers, test our car and see how
we match up with the future competition. What could be better?! The race course was downloaded off
of the MDR web site, loaded into the GPS, and we were set.
And so we headed out to JV Saturday Morning. How did it go? So good it was scary. Wyatt Radke and
Rick Warren set out on the first test  run , a planned 10 or 12 mile run turned in to a full 50 mile race
lap. The RANCHO VW motor was running perfect and the suspension was awesome.
After a full inspection of the car, Jeff Diebolt and Scott Hall Headed out for more of the same. 80
minutes or so later, the pair rolled in after a second 50 mile tour of the race course.  What a test!
Everything was still in place, motor running perfect, it couldn’t have gone any smoother. The decision
was made to park it for the night, relax and get it back to the shop for a thorough going over in the
coming week. The GPS results revealed over 107 miles, 38 mph average with a top speed of 58.
Team moral is at an all time high right now. Next time out ? The MORE 250, again in JV, Sept. 15 - start
time 8:30 am. Sponsor names and logos will be in place and Team co-owner,  Scott Graham will be
flying in to drive his new Hot Rod. Yes folks it’s race time!

BETTER THAN EXPECTED!!
RACE DAY APPROACHES ...AND RGR SET TO MAKE MAJOR
SPONSOR ANNOUNCEMENT!!
Sept 4, 2007
With the first race of the season for the upstart Team RGR rapidly approaching, the car stands ready
for it's first real test. The M.O.R.E. 250 on Saturday Sept 15th. After a successful test session the car
has been inspected, freshened up and is in race mode including all new BF Goodrich tires mounted on
New Centerline wheels furnished by MOORE PARTS.
This will be a good test for Team RGR as they prepare for the TECATE SCORE BAJA 1000 in November.
The plans are to run this event and gather as much data and experience as possible before preparing
the car for the 1000. The car will not run any races in between. But the car will be at 2 shows, one them
being the SEMA show just before the 1000  where the team will make a major sponsorship
announcement that will include backing for the 2007 BAJA 1000 and support for the entire next season.
Final details are currently being worked out. STAY TUNED.
M.O.R.E. Car number carries special meaning    1625
When registering with the M.O.R.E racing association for the upcoming race, the team was asked what
number did they want? Afte
r a very brief discussion the choice was obvious, 1625. Why 25? It is the
common thread that runs through everyone on Team RGR. The late Bobby Baldwin, a friend and brother
to us all, carried his NHRA license number 725 T F, on his top fuel cars. Always painted in Blue and
White colors,  Bobby loved his race cars. Everyone on the team has worked on a Baldwin car at one
time or another with Scoots as Crewchief. We lost Bobby to natural causes in 2001, he was 47 years
old. He is greatly missed. So as a sentimental tribute, the Team RGR Class 1 2 1600 car will wear the
number
1625 in blue lettering on the side of the car as subtle reminder of our buddy Bob.

EXCITEMENT BUILDS AS BAJA RACE DAY APPROACHES...... RGR RACER WELL RECEIVED AT
SEMA SHOW
Nov. 9 2007 Alta Loma, CA
Race day is here. The EMPI/ RGR race car is loaded up and leaves for Baja Saturday morning.  Some
great last minute sponsors have  joined the effort. Commercial Metal Fabricators from Dayton, Ohio
And AutoZone Mexico.
This is not the first time that CMF Ceo Pat Dakin has helped out Radke and Graham. During the 90’s
Dakin, a multi national Top fuel Champion and World Champ, helped keep the pair on the road
numerous times with the TRAPPER funny car operation.
AutoZone exec- Jim McCown feels that with stores up and down Baja, sponsoring the RGR Team is a
natural. The added support from these two sponsors will bring an added comfort level to the teams
effort when taking on the storied endurance race.
It   has been a dream of ours to take this journey and it is about to happen. We couldn't have set out
on this adventure without the help from all of our family, friends and sponsors. Thank you all from the
bottom of our hearts and we hope we can do you proud.  And now its off to Baja.
